Guidance for Children Starting the Islamic studies Syllabus Late

You can find suggested age ranges for our books here. If your child is starting the syllabus late, below are some some simple guidelines you can follow:

Institute Perspective: If a child begins the syllabus late, for example, in Class 4, having missed three previous books, our recommendation would be to start from an earlier book, such as Book 2 or 3, depending on the student's level. If that is not feasible, ensure thorough coverage of the essential revision section at the beginning of Book 4. Additionally, it's crucial to cover any major lessons from the previous books before proceeding with Book 4. You can refer to this syllabus overview to help plan which lessons to prioritize.

Parental Guidance: For parents guiding children at home, the approach may vary. Ideally, aim to cover all the books in the series, irrespective of the child's current level. However, if this isn't feasible, it's advisable to start from a lower-level book than what we have suggested here and ensure thorough coverage of the essential revision section at the beginning of the book.

By following these strategies, children can effectively catch up on missed material and seamlessly integrate into the syllabus, whether at home or within an institute setting.
